I developed my interest in metalsmithing fairly late in life. Once I started down this creative road it quickly became a bit of an obsession. Even though I have been it now for 15 or so years, I still consider myself a hobbyist, as opposed to a bona fide professional jeweler. I am addicted to attending workshops, I love learning new techniques and skills. Pretty sure I am an ADD artist. I never want to do the same thing twice. I am usually ready to move on to the next thing before I have completed the piece I am working on at the moment. This tendency prohibits a cohesive look or style, something I should probably work on developing. I am also a certified tool junkie, there is always room for one more hammer, one more gizmo I can’t do without.
